Glad I didn't pay for this shit - 2k9 (A week late)
Since I actually took some pictures from NYAF I should post them. Glad I didn't pay for the con, but I'll be back next year if shit works out and I don't have to stay with Jessie because she beats me. Oh, and my trip back was ROYALLY FUCKED. LOOK AT ALL THE GODDAMN HATS.  ( Definitely NYAF pictures ) Note the arrival time. A big FUCK YOU to Megabus and MBTA. Bottom line is on top of other shit being fucked up, I didn't get back until 1am vs. 12am for no good reason. And that means pretty much EVERYTHING public transit related was shut down in Boston, including the subways so I got to take a 10 dollar cab ride that didn't even get me back to Brandeis (That would've run me 40 bucks). Didn't get back to Brandeis soil until Monday afternoon when I was supposed to be in Sunday night. Bunked with Casey for and might change my lj name to "Hardcastle McCormick". The dealer's room was outside. It was in a tent, but it was outside, and poor John compared it to being stuck in a crappy pirate ship when it was raining out. Badge checkers had to verify badges by scanning them with a Blackberry. Hanging my badge on my crotch was 10x more fun. Punch will be Punch, the only con I know of that gives out free drink vouchers to its attendees. I had a great time 100% because of you strange, strange people. People I met, people I re-met, and people I knew and just haven't seen in a while. I regret nothing I texted. |
